2.3.1.9. Check of a potentiometer of a throttle

GENERAL INFORMATION

The potentiometer of a throttle displays every time the provision of a throttle and its change. During acceleration, the equipment of management obtains information on how quickly and on what corner the butterfly valve is inclined. The closed throttle informs the equipment of management on further work of the engine idling.

Measurement of resistance of a potentiometer of a throttle

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1) take a plug with the wires feeding a potentiometer
2) measure all resistance of a potentiometer between the terminations 1 and 3. The normal amount has to equal: 1.4–1.6 kOhm
3) start the engine and leave it to idle
4) remove the pipeline of removal of air between the regulator of provision of a throttle and the filter of system of airing. From the filter establish a cap. For this purpose it is possible to use bolts of the corresponding diameter
5) kill the engine. The butterfly valve has to close a mouth completely
6) measure resistance between the terminations 1 and 2 of a potentiometer and at the same time reject a butterfly valve to situation "full gas". Resistance has to decrease smoothly up to the initial size of 1.4-2.4 kOhm at the "closed" butterfly valve up to the size less than 270 Ohms in the provision of "full opening" of a butterfly valve
7) take out a cap from the pipeline of removal of air and put on the pipeline the union at the air filter
8) connect a plug to a potentiometer
