1.5.15.1. Check of level of cooling liquid

GENERAL INFORMATION

Level of cooling liquid needs to be checked from time to time, and also to do it before distant trips.

Prevention

Not to get burn, never open a cowl if you hear or you see that steam or cooling liquid come out a motive compartment. Wait, it will not be heard yet or it is visible couple or cooling liquid and only after that carefully open a cowl.

As the broad tank of the cooling system is made of transparent plastic, there is no need to open a cover for check of level of cooling liquid.

At the cold engine, the level of cooling liquid in a transparent broad tank has to be at the level of the mark MIN (it is specified by an arrow).

At the warmed engine, the level of cooling liquid has to rise a little above this mark.

On a broad tank the electronic device of check of level of cooling liquid is also installed.

If the level of cooling liquid falls below the mark MIN, then the alarm bulb of the cooling system will light up.

Reduction of level of cooling liquid

Reduction of level of cooling liquid can demonstrate existence of leak in the cooling system. In this case, the cooling system has to be checked. It is insufficiently simple to add cooling liquid.

In tight system leak of liquid can happen only if temperature of liquid rose above a boiling point as a result of an overheat.
