1.5.11. Air filter

GENERAL INFORMATION

Pollution of the filtering element of the air filter not only reduces engine capacity and considerably increases fuel consumption, but also can result in premature wear of the engine.

In normal conditions there is no need to check the air filter more often than it is defined in "The guide to service of the car". If the car is operated on very dusty roads, then the air filter needs to be checked more often, perhaps even every day.

Prevention

The paper filtering element cannot be cleared or impregnated with gasoline, the cleaning solutions or oil.
