GENERAL INFORMATION

Car loading capacity (the most permissible load) is given in a sticker on inside of a cover of the fuel tank.

The maximum mass of the car, and also the most permissible load of a forward and back axis are given in the sticker of compliance to safety conditions located on a door pillar of the left door.

The maximum mass of the car includes the weight of the car plus the full fuel tank, plus mass of oil and cooling liquid, plus the maximum load which includes the weight of passengers (from calculation that the average weight of passengers makes 68 kg or 68 kg on one place in salon) and baggage weight. The most admissible mass of baggage does not increase at installation of a luggage carrier on a car roof if the weight of passengers respectively does not decrease.

The maximum load of axes is a maximum load which can be born each of car axes.

Prevention

Real load of forward and back axes should not exceed the most admissible and their sum should not exceed the maximum mass of the car.

Excess of a permissible load can lead to damage of the car, accident and injuries.

Values of the most permissible load of the car are valid when loading is evenly distributed in the car (passengers and baggage). When transporting heavy freight in a luggage carrier, it it is necessary to arrange as it is possible closer to the back bridge not to reduce controllability the car. It is forbidden to exceed the most permissible load on an axis of the car or to load the car so that its weight will exceed the most admissible. Do not forget that additional loading influences controllability the car therefore at big loading reduce the speed of the movement.

The most permissible load for the luggage carrier installed on a car roof makes 75 kg. Use only a luggage carrier which was developed especially for installation on your car. Do not exceed the most permissible load and distribute weight evenly.

Use only those types of a luggage carrier which were checked and approved by Audi.

Distribute loading evenly and do not exceed the most permissible load (including luggage carrier weight), and also do not increase car weight above the most admissible.

The most allowable weight of the trailer:

The trailer with brakes – 900 kg

The trailer without brakes

Audi-80:

Models with the 4-cylinder engine – 560 kg

Models with the 5-cylinder engine – 580 kg

The Audi-80 Quattro – 640 kg

Audi-90:

Models with the 4-cylinder engine – 560 kg

Models with the 5-cylinder engine – 580 kg

The Audi-90 Quattro – 640 kg

The most permissible load on a coupling sphere – 50 kg

Do not exceed the most permissible load for your trailer.
