Adjustment of the emergency brake
As back brakes are self-regulating, you need to carry out their adjustment only after replacement: ropes of the emergency brake, supports of brakes, brake disks, brake shoes.
Always in the beginning carry out the general adjustment of back brakes.
PERFORMANCE ORDER |
|
1) tighten an adjusting nut of a rope of a parking brake so that both levers (one of them is specified by an arrow) rose from an emphasis (two mechanics are for this purpose necessary) |
|
2) put the adjusting clamp (it is specified by an arrow) back on two turns |
|
3) by means of the screw-driver take away the support lever against the stop in turn on both back wheels |
4) the rope of the emergency brake is tense too strongly if the lever of one of supports departs from an emphasis |
5) weaken an adjusting nut of a rope of the emergency brake (it is specified by an arrow) so that both levers fell by an emphasis |
6) put the car on the emergency brake, and then remove |
7) check that both wheels rotated freely |
